Deletion of personal data

WordPress

We use the WordPress content management system for our website. The service provider is Automattic Inc, 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. This is software that we use to design and organize our website. WordPress can process technical data such as operating system and browser, as well as the data mentioned above in this privacy policy.

For the USA, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision on July 10, 2023 (“EU-US Data Privacy Framework”). WordPress is certified under the Data Privacy Framework and a secure level of data protection can be assumed.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program from Google

events

You can register for events such as workshops, conferences or other events via our website. We collect the necessary registration data, such as e-mail address, first and last name, your profession and other relevant data. The personal data you provide will be stored and collected for the purpose of sending event invitations and organizing events. By submitting your data, you consent to the storage and processing of this data for the above-mentioned purposes.

By registering, each participant agrees that photos and videos of him/her may be taken and published during the event and that the evening may be reported on in words, sound and images. If the participant does not agree to this, he/she must expressly declare this to the organizer in writing when registering on the list of registered persons, but no later than four weeks before the respective event, and inform photographers and persons making sound recordings that he/she does not agree to being depicted in photos and videos or to the recording of sound recordings that clearly identify him/her as a person. The organizer may use these image and sound recordings without such a declaration for the purposes of advertising for and providing information about the organizer. The necessary rights of use to the images, videos and sound recordings are transferred to the organizer in this respect.

By participating, each participant agrees to his/her first name and surname being published in a list of participants enclosed with the conference folder. If the participant does not agree to this, the participant must inform the organizer in writing up to four weeks before the respective event.

The organizers of the event have access to the data. Lists of participants may be made available at events. These lists of participants will not be published elsewhere and can only be viewed by the participants of the respective event. They contain the surnames and first names of the participants and the institution/company to which they belong.

Data that you have provided when registering for an event will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of its processing and there are no longer any statutory retention periods.

The image material is stored in an image archive. Your personal data will be stored until you withdraw your consent or object to the processing.

We use links to content on websites of other website operators.

We have no influence on the data collected there or the data processing procedures, nor do we know the full extent of the data collection, the purpose of the processing or the retention periods. We also have no information about the deletion of the data collected by the linked provider.
